Relationship over Routine: a sneak peak at a day in the life of a luxury home manager.

Running a luxury home and lifestyle management firm isn’t about showing up with a clipboard and a cute blazer—it’s about being three steps ahead of chaos at all times, and doing it with grace, grit, and a really good coffee in hand.
Every day looks a little different, but the mission is always the same: make life smoother, simpler, and more beautiful for the families we serve. We don’t just manage homes—we create ease, protect time, and make every touchpoint feel intentional.
Here’s a look behind the curtain.

Morning Rhythm: Gratitude, Coffee, and Clarity
My day starts early, with a simple but grounding ritual: I thank Jesus for another day. It sounds small, but it keeps everything in perspective. Gratitude sets the tone for how I lead, how I serve, and how I show up for others.
Then comes the coffee. Not the kind you grab on autopilot—I'm talking a slow-made oat milk coffee with honey and cinnamon that feels like a warm hug. It’s part habit, part ceremony. And yes, about an hour later, I’ll get the exact same thing from Mundos or NOBO Mkt. Call it commitment. Call it caffeine. Either way, it works.
Those first 15 minutes of the day are sacred. No email. No distractions. Just clarity. I look over the schedule, set my top priorities, and reflect on the small but meaningful moments that will shape the day.
Then it’s game on—confirming vendor arrivals, preparing client check-ins, and aligning the team on any high-touch priorities.
Client Check-Ins: Relationship Over Routine
Mid-morning is all about connection. I check in with clients via text, email, or a quick call—not just for status updates, but to hear what’s really going on in their world. That’s how we deliver service that feels personal, not procedural.
A client might mention they’re feeling unsettled about a space—what they’re actually telling me is that they need help creating calm. Another might casually bring up a postponed dinner party—which to me means it’s time to offer support around hosting, cleanup, or just lifting the weight.
The work is logistical, but the service is relational.
Mundos, NOBO, and My Signature 15-Minute Pit Stops
Let’s be honest—by late morning, I’m absolutely making a pit stop. Mundos or NOBO Mkt, every time. Same coffee. Same order. A brief pause that somehow fuels the rest of the day.
But these aren’t just caffeine breaks—they’re connection moments. I’ll run into designers, vendors, local business owners, or friends in the community. A five-minute chat can spark a referral, solve a problem, or unlock a brand-new collaboration.
I also use these windows to advocate for women in business—sometimes formally, sometimes through a spontaneous, "Hey, you're crushing it" in the parking lot. It matters. We all rise higher when we lift each other up.
Site Visits: Eyes on the Details
You can’t manage a luxury property from a distance. That’s why on-site visits are non-negotiable.
Some days I’m reviewing a new paint finish or checking for streaking on imported tile. Other days I’m quietly fixing what someone else missed—fluffing pillows, re-aligning sconces, or coordinating a repair before a client even notices something’s off.
Details aren’t extra. They’re everything. And being on-site means I’m not guessing—I’m guaranteeing quality.
Afternoons: Admin, Big Ideas… and the Power Nap Secret
Afternoons are for dashboards, updates, and vendor communication. This is when my marketing team gets hit with 6,000 new ideas—some genius, some chaotic, all filled with heart.
Sometimes it's a new seasonal offering, a luxury gifting concept, or an aha moment that came to me somewhere between grout samples and floral mock-ups.
Also? I power nap. Not every day, but often enough to call it a strategy. Twenty minutes is all it takes to clear the mental tabs and come back focused. I swear it’s the secret to how I remember the tiniest details across multiple properties, families, and vendors—without losing steam by 4PM.
Evenings: Wrap-Up + Reset
As the day winds down, I circle back: confirm completions, send follow-ups, update systems, and prep for tomorrow. I don’t rely on memory—I rely on structure.
If time allows, I’ll read up on new techniques, cleaning protocols, or trends in estate care. Learning keeps me inspired and ensures we stay ahead—not reactive.
Why I Do This
People think this world is about perfection. But it’s not—it’s about presence. It’s about being the calm in someone else’s chaos. It’s about giving clients space to actually live in their homes, not manage them.
We’re the silent structure behind a beautiful life. We see things before they break. We fix what’s off before it ever becomes a problem. We make luxury feel effortless, because we’ve already done the work behind the scenes.
And every morning—with my coffee, my prayers, and just a little bit of magic—I get to do it all over again
